How to enable 2FA for your Binance account

Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your Binance account even if your password leaks. Follow the steps below to generate Binance verification codes with the Authenticator App on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Open your Security settings
Sign in to Binance on the website and click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then choose Security to open your account security options.
Enable the Authenticator App
In the Security settings, find the Authenticator App entry and click Enable (or Manage) to start setting up app-based two-factor authentication.
Choose Authenticator App as your method
Select the Authenticator App option as your verification method, then click Next to continue.
View the QR code and setup key
Binance now displays a QR code along with a setup key that encodes your secret. Leave this window open on your computer while you reach for your iPhone.
Scan the QR code with your Authenticator App
Open the Authenticator App on your iPhone, tap the + button, and choose Scan a QR code to scan the code shown by Binance. If you cannot scan it, tap Enter a setup key and type the setup key manually instead.
Save the new entry and copy the code
Once scanned, the Authenticator App fills in the Binance account name and secret key automatically. Tap Save to add the entry, then copy the current 6-digit code.
Verify your code on Binance
Back on Binance, click Next, then enter the email verification code sent to your linked email address and paste the 6-digit code from your Authenticator App into the verification field to confirm.
Two-factor authentication is enabled
Binance confirms that the Authenticator App is now active. From now on you will enter a code from your Authenticator App each time you log in.
Save your backup key
Write down and securely store the setup/backup key shown earlier during setup. Binance does not issue one-time recovery codes, so this key is what lets you restore your Authenticator App if you ever lose or change your phone.
Backup & recovery
Binance does not issue a list of one-time recovery codes. Instead, during setup it shows a setup/backup key (the same secret key used for manual entry). Write this key down and store it offline. If you lose access to your authenticator device, you can re-add the account in a new authenticator app using this key. If the key is also lost, you must reset 2FA through Binance's account recovery or identity verification process.
